About the Team
The Accounts Payable Specialist will join the Accounting and Compliance Department at Nutanix, based out of our Bangalore, India office. This team is dedicated to supporting our international operations across the EMEA and APJ regions, with a mission to ensure efficient financial management and compliance. You will report to the International Accounts Payable Manager, who is known for their supportive and empowering leadership style, encouraging team members to take initiative and continually develop their skills. The role is designed to be hybrid, requiring the specialist to work in the office for three days a week while allowing for flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.
This position does not involve any travel requirements, allowing for a focused work-life balance while supporting the accounting functions for international locations.
Your Role
  • Manage the Accounts Payable process for international locations in the EMEA and APJ regions, including vendor setup, invoice processing, and payment preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, GST, WHT) during the accounting/coding of invoices.
  • Facilitate accurate and timely invoice processing and maintain reconciliation between Accounts Payable sub-ledger and General Ledger.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to address and resolve invoice-related issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the standardization and improvement of Accounts Payable processes across regions.
  • Support month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations and accruals, while driving alignment with corporate reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries effectively.
  • Identify and implement process automation opportunities to enhance efficiency within the Accounts Payable function.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Master Data Management.
  • Familiarity with General Accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with international Accounts Payable processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software (Net Suite & COUPA preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
